Tafinlar (dabrafenib capsules)

type of Antineoplastics BRAF Kinase Inhibitor

Tafinlar (dabrafenib) is a kinase inhibitor used to treat patients with melanoma with BRAF V600E mutation that is metastatic or unable to be removed by surgery (unresectable).

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• fever,
• lightheadedness,
• shortness of breath,
• confusion,
• chills,
• dizziness,
• headache,
• weakness,
• little or no urination,
• dark colored urine,
• vision changes,
• bloody or tarry stools,
• coughing up blood,
• vomit that looks like coffee grounds,
• increased thirst or urination,
• pale or yellowed skin,
• eye pain or swelling,
• seeing halos around lights,
• severe skin rash,
• swelling in your feet or ankles
• seeing color “dots” in your vision,
• skin pain or swelling,
• redness and peeling skin on your hands or feet,
• pounding heartbeats, and
