Cystaran (cysteamine ophthalmic solution)

Cystaran (cysteamine) Ophthalmic Solution is a cystine-depleting agent used to treat corneal cystine crystal accumulation in patients with cystinosis.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- eye redness
- headache, and
- sensitivity to light
- eye pain or irritation
- visual field defects
The following drugs are related to Cystaran, either as a replacement or used together:
- Cystadrops (cysteamine ophthalmic solution)
- Cystagon (cysteamine bitartrate)
