Cystadrops (cysteamine ophthalmic solution)

Cystadrops (cysteamine ophthalmic solution) is a cystine-depleting agent used to treat corneal cystine crystal deposits in adults and children with cystinosis.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • blurred vision,
  • eye pain,
  • eye redness,
  • eye irritation,
  • instillation site discomfort,
  • eye itching,
  • increased tearing, and
  • ocular deposits
The following drugs are related to Cystadrops, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Cystagon (cysteamine bitartrate)
  • Cystaran (cysteamine ophthalmic solution)
  • Procysbi (cysteamine bitartrate delayed-release capsules)
