Cyonanz (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol tablets)

Cyonanz (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol kit) is a combined oral contraceptive (COC) indicated for the prevention of pregnancy in women who elect to use this product as a method of contraception.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • vomiting,
  • depression,
  • missed menstrual periods, 
  • fluid retention (edema)
  • breakthrough bleeding,
  • spotting,
  • change in menstrual flow,
  • temporary infertility after discontinuation of treatment,
  • cholestatic jaundice,
  • gastrointestinal symptoms (such as abdominal cramps and bloating),
  • skin discoloration (melasma) which may persist, 
  • breast changes: tenderness, enlargement, secretion, 
  • change in weight, 
  • change in cervical erosion and secretion, 
  • reduced lactation when given immediately postpartum, 
  • migraine 
  • allergic reaction, including rash, hives, skin swelling, 
  • reduced tolerance to carbohydrates, 
  • vaginal yest infection,
  • change in corneal curvature (steepening), and
  • intolerance to contact lenses.

  • ParaGard (intrauterine copper contraceptive)
  • Kyleena (levonorgestrel)
  • Mirena (levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system)
  • Skyla (levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system)
  • Liletta (levonorgestrel-releasing intrauterine system)
  • Ortho Evra (norelgestromin, ethinyl estradiol transdermal)
  • Ortho Micronor (norethindrone)
  • Ortho-Novum (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol)
  • Ortho Tri-Cyclen / Ortho-Cyclen (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol)
