Cylert (pemoline)

Cylert (pemoline) is a central nervous system stimulant used to treat attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). The brand name Cylert is no longer available in the U.S. Generic versions may be available.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • diarrhea,
  • weight loss,
  • abdominal discomfort,
  • headache,
  • nervousness,
  • drowsiness,
  • rash
  • rapid heart rate, and
  • insomnia (difficulty sleeping),
  • mild depression,
  • decreased appetite (anorexia),

  • Nuvigil (armodafinil)
  • ProCentra (dextroamphetamine sulfate oral solution)
  • Silenor (doxepin tablets)
