Cyclafem (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol kit)

Cyclafem 7/7/7 (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol kit) is a combined oral contraceptive (COC) indicated for the prevention of pregnancy in women who elect to use this product as a method of contraception.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- depression,
- missed menstrual periods,
- breast tenderness or enlargement,
- breakthrough bleeding,
- spotting,
- changes in menstrual flow,
- migraine,
- fluid retention (edema),
- nipple secretion,
- cholestatic jaundice,
- rash (allergic),
- temporary infertility after discontinuation of treatment,
- reduced tolerance to carbohydrates,
- gastrointestinal symptoms (such as abdominal cramps and bloating),
- dark skin discoloration (melasma) which may persist,
- change in weight,
- change in cervical erosion and secretion,
- diminution in lactation when given immediately postpartum,
- vaginal yeast infection, and
- intolerance to contact lenses
