Curosurf (poractant alfa) Suspension is a pulmonary surfactant used to treat Respiratory Distress Syndrome (RDS) in premature infants. Curosurf reduces mortality and pneumothoraces (collapsed lung) associated with RDS.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• low blood pressure
• breathing that slows or stops,
• endotracheal tube blockage,
• chocking,
• slow heart rate, and

The following drugs are related to Curosurf, either as a replacement or used together:

• Albuminar (albumin (human))
• Buminate 5% (albumin (human) 5% solution)
• Kedbumin (albumin (human) u.s.p.] sterile, aqueous solution for single dose intravenous administration)
• Buminate 25% (albumin human, usp, 25% solution)
