Cubicin RF (daptomycin injection)

Cubicin RF (daptomycin for injection) is a lipopeptide antibacterial indicated for the treatment of complicated skin and skin structure infections (cSSSI) in adult and pediatric patients (1 to 17 years of age); and Staphylococcus aureus bloodstream infections (bacteremia), including those with right-sided infective endocarditis in adult patients.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• fever,
• easy bruising,
• unusual bleeding,
• rapid heart rate,
• flu symptoms,
• unexplained muscle pain,
• shallow breathing,
• severe stomach pain,
• new or worsening cough,
• pain or burning when you urinate,
• diarrhea that is watery or bloody (even if it occurs months after your last dose),
• weakness
• mouth and throat ulcers,
• numbness, tingling, or burning in your hands or feet,
• tenderness, and
