Covera-HS (verapamil)
type of Calcium Channel Blockers, Dihydropyridine
Covera HS (verapamil) is a calcium channel blocker (CCB) used for treating and preventing chest pain (angina) resulting from spasm (contraction) of the coronary arteries that reduces the flow of blood to the heart. Covera HS is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- upper stomach pain,
- fever,
- pale skin,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- chest pain,
- swelling,
- wheezing,
- sweating,
- rapid weight gain,
- anxiety,
- feeling unwell,
- fast or slow heart rate,
- gasping for breath, and
- cough with foamy mucus
