Covaryx (estrogens, esterified and methyltestosterone tablets)

Covaryx (estrogens, esterified and methyltestosterone tablet, coated) is a combination of female and male hormones indicated in the treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with the menopause in those patients not improved by estrogens alone.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- skin redness,
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- dizziness,
- headache,
- anxiety,
- depression,
- bloating,
- change in vaginal discharge,
- loss of scalp hair,
- acne,
- weight changes,
- abdominal cramps,
- breakthrough bleeding,
- spotting,
- changes in menstrual flow,
- painful menstrual periods,
- premenstrual-like syndrome,
- missed menstrual periods during and after treatment,
- increase in size of uterine fibromyomas,
- vaginal yeast infection,
- breast tenderness, enlargement, nipple secretion,
- yellowing skin and eyes (jaundice),
- changes in skin pigmentation (chloasma or melasma) which may persist when drug is discontinued,
- excess unwanted hair growth,
- intolerance to contact lenses,
- migraine,
- fluid retention (edema),
- changes in sex drive,
- virilization in females, including deepening of the voice and clitoral enlargement,
- male pattern baldness,
- generalized numbness and tingling,
- increased cholesterol, and
- swelling and sores inside the mouth.
