Cosentyx (secukinumab injection)
type of Monoclonal Antibodies
Cosentyx (secukinumab) for Injection is a human interleukin-17A antagonist used to treat moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adult patients who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- diarrhea,
- sore throat and nose,
- upper respiratory tract infection,
- sinus infection (sinusisits),
- stuffy or runny nose,
- oral herpes,
- hives,
- athlete's foot,
- tonsillitis,
- oral thrush,
- impetigo,
- inflammatory bowel disease,
- ear infection,
- eye infection or inflammation (conjunctivitis),
- increased liver transaminases, and
- low white blood cell count (neutropenia).
