Cosentyx (secukinumab injection)

Cosentyx (secukinumab) for Injection is a human interleukin-17A antagonist used to treat moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in adult patients who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • diarrhea,
  • sore throat and nose,
  • upper respiratory tract infection,
  • sinus infection (sinusisits),
  • stuffy or runny nose,
  • oral herpes,
  • hives,
  • athlete's foot,
  • tonsillitis,
  • oral thrush,
  • impetigo,
  • inflammatory bowel disease,
  • ear infection,
  • eye infection or inflammation (conjunctivitis),
  • increased liver transaminases, and
  • low white blood cell count (neutropenia).
