Cosela (trilaciclib for injection)

Cosela (trilaciclib) is a kinase inhibitor indicated to decrease the incidence of chemotherapy-induced myelosuppression in adult patients when administered prior to a platinum/etoposide-containing regimen or topotecan-containing regimen for extensive-stage small cell lung cancer.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• rash,
• headache,
• fatigue,
• abdominal pain,
• pneumonia,
• swelling of extremities,
• blood clots, and
• high blood sugar (hyperglycemia)
• low calcium levels (hypocalcemia),
• low potassium levels (hypokalemia),
• low phosphate levels (hypophosphatemia),
• increased aspartate aminotransferase,
• infusion-related reaction,
