Conray (iothalamate meglumine injection, usp 43%)
type of Contrast Media, Ionic/High Osmolality
Conray 43 (iothalamate meglumine injection 43%) is a diagnostic radiopaque medium indicated for use in lower extremity venography, intravenous infusion urography, contrast enhancement of computed tomographic brain images and arterial digital subtraction angiography. Conray 43 may also be used for enhancement of computed tomographic scans performed for detection and evaluation of lesions in the liver, pancreas, kidneys, abdominal aorta, mediastinum, abdominal cavity and retroperitoneal space.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- itching,
- wheezing,
- fainting,
- cough,
- chest pain or pressure,
- little or no urination,
- seizures,
- weakness on one side of the body,
- red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever,
- tightness in the chest or throat,
- unusual hoarseness,
- sneezing,
- trouble swallowing or talking,
- blood in your urine,
- severe dizziness,
- stuffy nose,
- poor balance,
- inability to urinate,
- big weight gain,
- blue or gray skin color,
- fast or abnormal heartbeat,
- drooping on one side of the face,
- blurry eyesight,
- red or irritated eyes,
- sores in your mouth, throat, nose, or eyes, and
