Duavee (conjugated estrogens and bazedoxifene tablets)

type of Selective Estrogen Receptor Modulators, Estrogen Derivatives

Duavee (conjugated estrogens/bazedoxifene) contains a form of the female hormone, estrogen, along with an estrogen agonist/antagonist used to treat moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms associated with menopause and to prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis in women who still have a uterus.

The drug is often used to treat Osteoporosis .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• nausea,
• shortness of breath,
• confusion,
• yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
• pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
• swelling,
• sweating,
• chest pain or pressure,
• rapid weight gain,
• sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
• slurred speech,
• problems with vision or balance,
• coughing up blood,
• memory problems,
• sudden vision loss,
• unusual vaginal bleeding,
• sudden severe headache,
• stabbing chest pain,
• pain or warmth in one or both legs,
• unusual behavior,
• lump in your breast,
• pelvic pain,
• muscle spasms or contractions, and
• numbness or tingly feeling (around your mouth, your fingers or toes)
