Compazine (prochlorperazine)

Compazine (prochlorperazine) is a phenothiazine anti-psychotic used to treat psychotic disorders such as schizophrenia. Compazine (prochlorperazine) is also used to treat anxiety, and to control severe nausea and vomiting. The brand name Compazine is discontinued in the U.S. Generic versions may still be available.
The drug is often used to treat Schizophrenia .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- dizziness,
- blurred vision,
- sleep problems (insomnia),
- constipation,
- skin rash,
- dry mouth,
- drowsiness,
- weight gain,
- missed menstrual periods,
- anxiety,
- stuffy nose,
- impotence,
- headache, and
- low blood pressure (hypotension).

- trouble having an orgasm,
- breast swelling or discharge,
- swelling in hands or feet,
- mild itching,
