Rixubis (coagulation factor ix (recombinant) for intramuscular injection)

Rixubis [Coagulation Factor IX (Recombinant)] is an antihemophilic factor used to control and prevent bleeding episodes in adults with hemophilia B, for perioperative management in adults with hemophilia B, and for routine prophylaxis to prevent or reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes in adults with hemophilia B. Rixubis is not indicated for induction of immune tolerance in patients with hemophilia B.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- loss of appetite,
- itching,
- fever,
- lightheadedness,
- chills,
- fast heartbeats,
- chest pain,
- weight gain,
- wheezing,
- sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
- slurred speech,
- problems with vision or balance,
- coughing up blood, and
- blue lips,
- tightness in your chest,
- continued bleeding after treatment,
- pain, swelling, warmth and redness in one or both legs
- swelling in your hands, feet, or ankles,
- swelling in your waist,
- new or worsened bleeding,
