Duraclon (clonidine injection)

Duraclon (clonidine hydrochloride) is a centrally-acting analgesic (pain reliever) solution for use in continuous epidural infusion devices used in combination with opiates for the treatment of severe pain in cancer patients that is not adequately relieved by opioid analgesics alone. The brand name Duraclon is discontinued, but generic versions may be available.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache
- nausea
- fever
- itching
- vomiting
- sweating
- chest pain
- dizziness
- hallucinations
- fatigue
- rash
- loss of appetite
- agitation
- hives
- weakness
- fast heart rate
- confusion
- impotence
- dry mouth

low blood pressure (hypotension) - decreased heart rate
- rebound high blood pressure (hypertension)
- sleepiness
- ringing in the ears, and
- constipation
- dizziness on standing
- slow breathing
- palpitations
- nervousness
- feeling unwell (malaise)
- decreased sex drive, and
