Clorpres (clonidine hydrochloride and chlorthalidone)

Clorpres (clonidine hydrochloride and chlorthalidone) is a combination of an antihypertensive (lowers blood pressure) and a thiazide diuretic (water pill) used to treat fluid retention (edema) in people with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, or kidney disorders, or edema caused by taking steroids or estrogen. Clorpres is also used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).
The drug is often used to treat Cirrhosis .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- shortness of breath,
- severe headache,
- blurred vision,
- pounding in your neck or ears,
- confusion, and
- irregular heartbeats,
- anxiety,
- lightheadedness
- nosebleeds,
- severe chest pain,
- very slow heart rate,
