Climara (estradiol transdermal)

Climara (estradiol) Transdermal System is an estrogen hormone used to treat vasomotor, vulvar, and vaginal atrophy symptoms due to menopause, hypoestrogenism, and to prevent postmenopausal osteoporosis. Climara Transdermal System should not be used to prevent cardiovascular disease or dementia.

The drug is often used to treat Dementia , Osteoporosis .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • headache,
  • vomiting,
  • joint pain,
  • upset stomach,
  • weight changes,
  • back pain,
  • abdominal pain,
  • skin irritation,
  • changes in your menstrual periods, or
  • nipple discharge,
  • thinning scalp hair, 
  • acne or skin color changes,
  • constipation bloating,
  • breast swelling and tenderness,
  • increased facial hair,
  • cold symptoms (stuffy nose, sneezing, sinus pain, sore throat),
  • break-through bleeding.
