Cleocin I.V. (clindamycin)

Cleocin (clindamycin) is an antibiotic used for the treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible anaerobic bacteria. Cleocin is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • dark urine,
  • fever,
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
  • joint pain,
  • fast, slow, or irregular heartbeat,
  • abdominal pain,
  • severe dizziness
  • persistent sore throat,
  • persistent nausea or vomiting,
  • change in the amount of urine,
  • blood or mucus in your stool,
  • persistent diarrhea,
  • cramping,
  • pain or swelling at the injection site,
  • easy bruising or bruising,
  • fainting, and
