Mavenclad (cladribine tablets)

Mavenclad (cladribine) is a purine antimetabolite indicated for the treatment of relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis (MS), to include relapsing-remitting disease and active secondary progressive disease, in adults. Because of its safety profile, use of Mavenclad is generally recommended for patients who have had an inadequate response to, or are unable to tolerate, an alternate drug indicated for the treatment of MS.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- loss of appetite,
- itching,
- vomiting,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- skin rash,
- confusion,
- chills,
- body aches,
- dizziness,
- seizure,
- blurred vision,
- back pain,
- headache,
- nervousness,
- pounding in the ears,
- weakness,
- cough,
- trouble swallowing,
- chest pain or pressure,
- unusual tiredness,
- sore throat,
- hoarseness,
- depression,
- pain,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat
- sneezing,
- cough with mucus,
- irritation,
- muscle pain,
- painful or difficulty urination,
- stiff neck,
- red or irritated eyes,
- sadness,
- joint pain, stiffness, or swelling,
- redness of the skin,
- difficulty sleeping,
- difficulty concentrating,
- ear congestion,
- fast or slow heartbeat,
- loss of voice,
- side pain,
- swelling of the eyelids, face, lips, hands, or feet,
- burning or stinging of the skin,
- painful cold sores or blisters on the lips, nose, eyes, or genitals,
- blistering, peeling, loosening of the skin,
- red skin lesions, often with a purple center,
- sores or white spots in the mouth or on the lips,
- swollen glands, and
- unusual bleeding or bruising
