Penlac (ciclopirox topical solution)

Penlac Nail Lacquer (ciclopirox) Topical Solution, 8% is a topical (for the skin) antifungal medication used to treat fungal infections of the toenails and fingernails. Penlac Nail Lacquer is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• unusual or severe itching, redness, burning, dryness, or irritation of treated skin, and
• discoloration or other changes in the nails

The following drugs are related to Penlac, either as a replacement or used together:

• Jublia (efinaconazole topical solution)
• Lamisil (terbinafine)

The following supplements are related to Penlac, and may be used together with the drug:
