Nesacaine (chloroprocaine) is a local anesthetic used during surgical procedures. Nesacaine is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • itching,
  • vomiting,
  • dizziness,
  • blurred vision,
  • low blood pressure,
  • fainting,
  • restlessness,
  • seizures,
  • anxiety,
  • tremors,
  • depression, and
  • sneezing,
  • ringing in the ears,
  • excessing sweating,
  • elevated temperature,
  • loss of bladder and bowel control,
  • slow or irregular heartbeats
