Chantix (varenicline)

Chantix (varenicline) is a partial agonist selective for a4ß2 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor subtypes used for cessation of smoking.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• vomiting,
• tiredness,
• stomach pain,
• constipation,
• weakness,
• headaches,
• sleep problems (insomnia),
• indigestion,
• gas,
• nausea (may persist for several months),
• unusual dreams,
• headache, dry mouth, or
• unpleasant taste in your mouth.
