Evoxac (cevimeline hydrochloride) is a cholinergic agonist that works by stimulating certain nerves to increase the amount of saliva produced used to treat dry mouth in people with Sjogren's Syndrome. Evoxac is available in generic form.

The drug is often used to treat Dry mouth .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • lightheadedness,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • dry mouth,
  • headache, or
  • hives, 
  • difficulty breathing, 
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, 
  • increased sweating,
  • stuffy nose
  • severe pain in your stomach, side, or lower back, 
  • fast, slow, or uneven heart rate, 
  • painful or difficult urination, 
  • feeling very thirsty or hot, 
  • inability to urinate, 
  • heavy sweating, and 
  • hot and dry skin
