Cetrotide (cetrorelix)

type of Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone Antagonists

Cetrotide (cetrorelix acetate) blocks the hormone (gonadotropin-releasing hormone-GnRH) that causes eggs to be released from the ovaries and is used to prevent premature ovulation during controlled ovarian stimulation.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• stomach pain,
• little or no urination,
• pain when you breathe,
• shortness of breath
• bloating,
• rapid weight gain, especially in your face and midsection,
• rapid heart rate, and
