CellCept (mycophenolate mofetil)

CellCept (mycophenolate mofetil) is an immunosuppressive agent used to prevent your body from rejecting a kidney, liver, or heart transplant. CellCept is usually given with cyclosporine (Sandimmune, Neoral) and a steroid medication. CellCept is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- vomiting,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- swollen glands,
- easy bruising,
- unusual bleeding,
- pale skin,
- weight loss,
- confusion,
- chills,
- tiredness,
- stomach pain,
- severe headache,
- blurred vision,
- pounding in your neck or ears,
- headache,
- anxiety,
- lightheadedness
- bloody or tarry stools,
- pain or burning when you urinate,
- skin sores,
- painful mouth sores,
- cold or flu symptoms,
- nosebleeds,
- ear pain,
- coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds,
- thinking problems,
- weakness on one side of your body,
- loss of muscle control,
- loss of interest in things that normally interest you,
- tenderness around transplanted kidney,
- swelling, warmth, redness, or oozing around a skin wound,
- new skin lesion or mole that has changed in size or color,
- cold hands or feet, and
