Ceftin (cefuroxime axetil)

Ceftin (cefuroxime) is a cephalosporin antibiotic. Ceftin is available as a generic drug and is prescribed to treat infections with susceptible bacteria including skin and middle ear infections, tonsillitis, throat infections, laryngitis, bronchitis, pneumonia, urinary tract infections, and gonorrhea.
The drug is often used to treat Bronchitis , Laryngitis , Pneumonia , Tonsillitis .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache
- cough
- nausea
- diarrhea
- vomiting
- vaginal itching or discharge
- dizziness
- rash
- abdominal pain
- joint pain or swelling
- gas
- restlessness
- irritability
- drowsiness
- stuffy nose
- muscle pain
- itching/swelling
- stomach upset
- itching or rash
- hives
- stiff or tight muscles
- hyperactivity
- unusual or unpleasant taste in the mouth
- white patches or sores in the mouth, and
- diaper rash (in infants taking liquid cefuroxime).
