Fortaz (ceftazidime)

Fortaz (ceftazidime injection) is a cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat many kinds of bacterial infections, including severe or life-threatening forms. Fortaz is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- confusion,
- severe stomach pain,
- diarrhea that is watery or bloody,
- problems with speech or memory,
- seizures, and
- cold feeling, discoloration, or skin changes in your fingers
