Carvykti (ciltacabtagene autoleucel for iv injection)

Carvykti (ciltacabtagene autoleucel) is a B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA)-directed genetically modified autologous T cell immunotherapy indicated for the treatment of adult patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma after four or more prior lines of therapy, including a proteasome inhibitor, an immunomodulatory agent, and an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody.
The drug is often used to treat Multiple myeloma .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- fever,
- chills,
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- confusion,
- severe dizziness,
- fast or irregular heartbeat,
- very low blood pressure,
- decreased alertness,
- disorientation,
- difficulty speaking or slurred speech,
- difficulty reading or writing,
- difficulty understanding words,
- memory loss,
- loss of coordination,
- slower movements,
- changes in handwriting,
- reduced ability to express emotions,
- being less talkative,
- disinterest in activities,
- reduced facial expression,
- tingling, numbness, and pain of hands and feet,
- difficulty walking,
- leg and/or arm weakness,
- facial numbness, and
- difficulty moving muscle of face and eyes
