Carteolol Hydrochloride Ophthalmic Solution is a beta-blocker used to treat open-angle glaucoma and other causes of high pressure inside the eye. Carteolol hydrochloride ophthalmic is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache
- dizziness
- stinging
- depression
- sleep problems (insomnia)
- mild burning
- itching, or watering of your eyes
- blurred or cloudy vision
- mildly swollen or puffy eyes
- increased sensitivity of your eyes to light
- trouble seeing at night
- droopy eyelids
- muscle weakness
- stuffy nose
- nausea, or
- altered sense of taste
