Carnitor (levocarnitine) Injection is an amino acid supplement used to prevent and treat low blood levels of carnitine. Carnitor Injection is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• headache,
• vomiting,
• diarrhea,
• upset stomach,
• abdominal cramps,
• muscle pain or weakness,
• swelling of hands/lower legs/feet,
• tingling skin, or
• body odor ("fishy" smell)
