Vraylar (cariprazine capsules)
type of Antipsychotics, Second Generation, Bipolar Disorder Agents
Vraylar (cariprazine) is an atypical antipsychotic indicated for treatment of schizophrenia in adults, acute treatment of manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder in adults, treatment of depressive episodes associated with bipolar I disorder (bipolar depression) in adults, and as adjunctive therapy to antidepressants for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) in adults.
The drug is often used to treat Schizophrenia .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- dizziness,
- weight gain,
- constipation,
- headache, and
- fatigue,
- agitation,
- restlessness,
- indigestion,
- sleepiness,
- increased appetite,
- extrapyramidal symptoms (muscle spasms, muscle rigidity, tremor, jerking movements),
- insomnia.
