Kyprolis (carfilzomib)
type of Antineoplastics Proteasome Inhibitors
Kyprolis (carfilzomib) is an antineoplastic agent indicated to treat patients with multiple myeloma who have received at least two prior therapies, including treatment with Velcade (bortezomib) and an immunomodulatory therapy.
The drug is often used to treat Multiple myeloma .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- cough
- nausea
- diarrhea
- fever
- fatigue
- constipation
- shortness of breath
- rash
- runny or stuffy nose
- weakness
- bronchitis
- insomnia
- swelling of the extremities
- muscle spasms
- high blood pressure
- high blood sugar
- low blood cell count and blood platelet levels
- upper respitarory tract infection
- pneumonia
- low blood potassium
- low blood calcium
- numbness and tingling in the extremities
