Cardizem CD (diltiazem hcl)

Cardizem CD (diltiazem HCl) is a calcium channel blocker used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and prevent chest pain (angina). Lowering high blood pressure helps prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems. Cardizem CD is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• headache,
• lightheadedness,
• dizziness,
• weakness,
• cough,
• sore throat,
• upset stomach,
• stuffy nose, and
• flushing,
• tired feeling,
• flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling).
