Cardene SR (nicardipine hydrochloride sustained release capsules) is a calcium channel blocker used to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina (chest pain).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- lightheadedness,
- pounding heartbeats,
- fluttering in your chest, and
- severe or ongoing chest pain
