Dhivy (carbidopa and levodopa tablets)

Dhivy (carbidopa and levodopa) is a combination of an aromatic amino acid decarboxylation inhibitor and an aromatic amino acid used to treat Parkinson’s disease, post-encephalitic parkinsonism, and symptomatic parkinsonism that may follow carbon monoxide intoxication or manganese intoxication.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• sweating,
• lightheadedness,
• depression,
• hives, 
• difficulty breathing, 
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, 
• confusion, 
• severe dizziness, 
• worsening of tremors (uncontrolled shaking), 
• severe or ongoing vomiting or diarrhea, 
• hallucinations, 
• unusual changes in mood or behavior, 
• thoughts of self-harm, 
• very stiff (rigid) muscles, 
• high fever, 
• fast or uneven heartbeats, 
• tremors, 
• daytime sleepiness or drowsiness, 
• sweat, urine, or saliva may temporarily appear dark in color, and
• unusual impulsive behavior (sexual, gambling or other intense urges)
