Geocillin (carbenicillin indanyl sodium) is an antibiotic used to treat many different types of infections caused by bacteria, such as bladder infection. The brand name Geocillin is discontinued, but generic versions may be available.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache
- nausea
- vomiting
- stomach pain
- vaginal itching or discharge
- thrush (white patches or inside your mouth or throat)
- swollen, black, or "hairy" tongue
