Epitol (carbamazepine tablets)

Epitol (carbamazepine tablet) is an anticonvulsant and analgesic indicated to treat partial seizures with complex symptomatology (psychomotor, temporal lobe); generalized tonic-clonic seizures (grand mal); mixed seizure patterns which include the above, or other partial or generalized seizures. Epitol is also indicated in the treatment of the pain associated with true trigeminal neuralgia. Beneficial results have also been reported in glossopharyngeal neuralgia. Epitol is not a simple analgesic and should not be used for the relief of trivial aches or pains.
The drug is often used to treat Trigeminal neuralgia .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- rash,
- confusion,
- stomach pain,
- blurred vision,
- joint pain,
- fainting,
- mouth sores,
- seizures,
- depression,
- vision changes,
- itching, and
- severe dizziness
- mental or mood changes,
- change in the amount of urine,
- extreme drowsiness,
- severe headaches,
- swelling of the ankles or feet,
- continuous nausea or vomiting,
- yellowing eyes or skin (jaundice),
- fast, slow, irregular heartbeat,
- unusual eye movements,
- pain, redness, or swelling of the arms or legs,
- numbness or tingling of the hands and feet,
- suicidal thoughts or attempts,
- unusual or sudden mood changes,
- thoughts about self-harm,
