Carbatrol (carbamazepine extended-release)

Carbatrol (carbamazepine extended-release) is used to treat seizures and nerve pain such as trigeminal neuralgia and diabetic neuropathy, and is also used to treat bipolar disorder. Carbatrol is available in generic form.
The drug is often used to treat Bipolar disorder , Trigeminal neuralgia .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- fever,
- swollen glands,
- skin rash,
- easy bruising,
- pale skin,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- confusion,
- chills,
- muscle aches,
- headache,
- agitation,
- restlessness,
- unusual tiredness,
- sore throat,
- skin pain,
- mouth sores,
- right-sided upper stomach pain,
- anxiety,
- irritableness,
- hostility,
- thoughts of self-harm,
- insomnia,
- depression,
- burning in your eyes,
- skin rash (no matter how mild),
- severe weakness,
- unusual bruising,
- red or purple skin rash that spreads and causes blistering and peeling,
- yellowing of your skin or eyes,
- sudden mood or behavior changes,
- slow, fast, or pounding heartbeats,
- bleeding gums,
- nosebleeds,
- feeling unsteady, and
- increased seizures
