Tegretol (carbamazepine)

Tegretol (carbamazepine) is an anticonvulsant used to treat seizures and nerve pain such as trigeminal neuralgia and diabetic neuropathy. Tegretol is also used to treat bipolar disorder. Tegretol is available in generic form.

The drug is often used to treat Bipolar disorder , Trigeminal neuralgia .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• loss of appetite,
• dark urine,
• fever,
• skin rash,
• easy bruising,
• pale skin,
• lightheadedness,
• shortness of breath,
• confusion,
• chills,
• headache,
• unusual tiredness,
• sore throat,
• mouth sores,
• right-sided upper stomach pain,
• severe weakness,
• bleeding gums,
• nosebleeds,
• feeling unsteady, and
• increased seizures
• slow, fast or pounding heartbeats,
