Caprelsa (vandetanib)
type of Antineoplastic Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors, Antineoplastics EGFR Inhibitors
Caprelsa (vandetanib) is a cancer medication indicated for the treatment of the latter stages of a rare form of thyroid cancer called medullary thyroid cancer.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- fever,
- easy bruising,
- unusual bleeding,
- shortness of breath,
- confusion,
- fluttering in your chest,
- seizure,
- severe headache,
- pounding in your neck or ears,
- swelling,
- headache,
- wheezing,
- sore throat,
- burning eyes,
- skin pain,
- red or purple skin rash with blistering and peeling,
- rapid weight gain,
- irregular heartbeats,
- anxiety,
- sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
- extreme tiredness,
- vomit that looks like coffee grounds,
- fast or pounding heartbeats,
- sudden dizziness,
- dry skin,
- hoarse voice,
- dry cough,
- muscle pain or weakness,
- cough with bloody mucus,
- severe or ongoing diarrhea,
- any wound that will not heal,
- problems with vision or balance
- change in mental status,
- joint pain or stiffness,
- increased sensitivity to cold temperatures,
- sudden severe headache, and
- trouble speaking or understanding what is said to you,
