Capastat Sulfate (capreomycin for injection)

Capastat Sulfate (capremycin) for Injection is an antibiotic used to treat Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Capastat Sulfate is usually given after other tuberculosis medications have been tried without successful treatment of the infection.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- fever
- skin rash
- chills
- body aches
- flu symptoms, and
- injection site reactions (pain, irritation, swelling, or a hard lump)
The following drugs are related to Capastat Sulfate, either as a replacement or used together:
- Aplisol (tuberculin purified protein derivative)
- PrismaSol Solution (sterile hemofiltration hemodiafiltration solution)
