Epidiolex (cannabidiol oral solution)

Epidiolex (cannabidiol) oral solution, CX is a plant-derived cannabidiol (CBD) antiepileptic drug (AED) indicated for the treatment of seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome or Dravet syndrome in patients 2 years of age and older.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • loss of appetite,
  • itching,
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
  • vomiting,
  • agitation,
  • restlessness,
  • mood changes,
  • right-sided upper stomach pain,
  • dark urine, and
  • anxiety,
  • panic attacks,
  • trouble sleeping,
  • irritableness,
  • hostility,
  • aggression,
  • hyperactivity (mentally or physically),
  • depression,
  • thoughts of suicide,
  • feeling impulsive,
  • not feeling well,
The following drugs are related to Epidiolex, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Tegretol (carbamazepine)
  • Depakene (valproic acid)
  • Depakote (depakote divalproex sodium tablets)
  • Depakote ER (divalproex sodium)
  • Depakote Sprinkle Capsules (divalproex sodium sprinkle capsules)
  • Seizalam (midazolam for injection)
