Invokana (canagliflozin tablets)

Invokana (canagliflozin) is a sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 (SGLT2) inhibitor used to control blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes mellitus, in addition to diet and exercise.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • nausea,
  • loss of appetite,
  • back pain,
  • swelling,
  • painful urination,
  • increased thirst,
  • frequent urination,
  • vaginal itching,
  • weight gain
  • unusual tiredness or weakness,
  • swelling of your tongue, mouth or throat,
  • bloody or cloudy urine,
  • decreased amount of urine,
  • pain during intercourse,
  • pain, redness and itching of the penis,
  • vaginal discharge, and
