Camptosar Injection (irinotecan hydrochloride) is an antineoplastic (anticancer) medication used to treat cancers of the colon and rectum. Camptosar Injection is usually given with other cancer medicines in combination chemotherapy. Camptosar Injection is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• loss of appetite,
• dizziness,
• constipation,
• mouth sores,
• weakness,
• cough,
• drowsiness,
• trouble sleeping,
• skin rash, or
• nausea or vomiting (may be severe),
• redness or peeling of the skin on your hands and feet
