Ca-DTPA (pentetate calcium trisodium) is a chelating agent used to treat patients with known or suspected internal contamination with plutonium, americium, or curium to increase the rates of elimination.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache
- nausea
- diarrhea
- lightheadedness
- chest pain
- allergic reaction
- injection site reactions, and
- skin inflammation
- metallic taste
