Haegarda (c1 esterase inhibitor subcutaneous [human] injection)

Haegarda (C1 Esterase Inhibitor Subcutaneous [Human]) is a plasma-derived concentrate of C1 Esterase Inhibitor (Human) (C1-INH) indicated for routine prophylaxis to prevent Hereditary Angioedema (HAE) attacks in adolescent and adult patients.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- lightheadedness,
- confusion,
- fast heartbeats,
- wheezing,
- chest tightness,
- blue lips or gums,
- sudden numbness or weakness on one side of the body,
- pain, swelling, warmth, or redness in an arm or leg,
- sudden severe headache,
- fast heart rate
- problems with vision, speech, or balance,
- chest pain while taking deep breaths, and
The following drugs are related to Haegarda, either as a replacement or used together:
- Orladeyo (berotralstat capsules)
- Ruconest (c1 esterase inhibitor [recombinant] intravenous injection)
- Danocrine (danazol)
- Sajazir (icatibant injection, for subcutaneous use)
- Takhzyro (lanadelumab-flyo injection)
