Byooviz (ranibizumab-nuna injection, for intravitreal use)
type of Macular Degeneration Agents, Ophthalmics, VEGF Inhibitors
Byooviz (ranibizumab-nuna) is vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) inhibitor indicated for the treatment of patients with neovascular (wet) age-related macular degeneration (AMD), macular edema following retinal vein occlusion (RVO), and myopic choroidal neovascularization (mCNV).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- eye irritation,
- eye itching
- vision problems, and
- eye “floaters,”
- cataracts,
- eye pain,
- dry eye,
- blood spots in the whites of the eyes (conjunctival hemorrhage),
- increased intra-ocular pressure,
- eye inflammation,
- foreign body sensation in eyes,
- increased tearing,
- swelling of eyelids,
