Butrans (buprenorphine transdermal)
type of Opioid Analgesics
Butrans (buprenorphine) is a narcotic (opiate) analgesic used to help relieve moderate to severe ongoing pain (such as due to arthritis, chronic back pain).
The drug is often used to treat Arthritis .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- upper stomach pain,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- vomiting,
- fever,
- lightheadedness,
- clay-colored stools,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- chest pain,
- dizziness,
- seizure,
- diarrhea
- sweating,
- agitation,
- shivering,
- twitching,
- fast heart rate,
- weak or shallow breathing,
- muscle stiffness,
- loss of coordination, and
- breathing that stops during sleep,
- deep sighs,
- snoring that is new or unusual,
- blisters, swelling, severe irritation where the patch was worn,
- feeling weak or tired,
- hallucination,
